Licence Daily : Comic Party est à l'origine un jeu de drague développé par l'éditeur nippon Studio Leaf et édité en 1999. Comic Party s'inspire d'un vrai salon manga japonais : le Comiket. Comic Party a alors été adapté en manga d'abord (dessiné par Inui Sekihiro) et en animé ensuite, le plus récent, Comic Party Revolution, étant sorti en 2003 au Japon. Des jeux sur Dreamcast et PC sont par ailleurs sortis et ont contribué au succès de la licence, très prisé des aficionados de japanimation.
