Resume : Suite à la mort de leurs parents, Kôtarô et Teppei Takamiya s'élèvent seuls sur Kamui, leur île natale située au nord du Japon. A l'âge de 11 ans, Kôtarô décide de partir pour Berlin. Sentant que Teppei peut s'en sortir facilement sans lui, il lui donne rendez-vous à l'exposition de la Mecha Topia qui aura lieu cinq ans plus tard à Beijing... Les années passent et les deux frères se rejoignent comme promis. Mais les retrouvailles tournent court car une organisation terrifiante nommée Mecanicae Imperium tue les 10 000 scientifiques présents et enlève Kôtarô. Décidé à agir, Teppei s'accroche à l'étrange machine volante qui emmène son frère et se retrouve entraîné vers une base secrète.
